The Hendrix Experience did All Along the Watchtower better, but I have to say that Dylan’s version of this song is better.

prince claims to not play like hendrix… but he certainly uses his moves and facial expressions. wonder whether hendrix would have slid into total obscurity like prince has. everybody ought to read the book Room Full of Mirrors, the Hendrix biography. What a great book; really an education all on its own- about poverty, the blues, and true heartache.

Jimi, Noel, and Mitch are all gone now. Jimi did die young but Noel and Mitch was too young to lose. Rock and roll heave has it’s first power trio. RIP
