Also, 2 against 3 and 3 against 4 are still polyrhythms, though they may not be quite as complex as 5 against 4. And just because it SOUNDS the same doesn't make it the same. Personally, I'd prefer to have my part written in the same time signature, so I know how it will feel in context, instead of having to first hear it.
