it is from a real happy days episode kinda….weezer filmed there part separately though and like spliced it in. im not sure if thats one hundred percent correct but you get the idea.

No, its just a music video from the 90s. The clips of the characters like fonzie are actually from the show, but the footage of weezer was filmed separately. Al Molinaro is the only actor to appear in the contemporary footage with Weezer.

This was a very creatively done visual effects shot. Excellent use of camera cues (weezer members looking in one diretcion and the camera showing someone looking back with a look on their face) and som really good roto and character doubles (fonz walking out at the end and dancing with back to us.) If you pay attention to the “plot” you will see characters spatially in inconsistent places. EXCELLENT job though for the artists.
